My Birthday Wish - To Help Joaina in Haiti
Ok - so it's my birthday, but I'm having a hard time celebrating because I heard news of my friends and a very special person in Haiti - and I need your help. As some of you may know, my foundation (The La Jolla Foundation, Inc.) through Project Einstein, which locates and provides support for super bright underprivileged children, provided a scholarship this school year for a very special young lady - Joaina Marseille.
Unfortunately, Joaina lives in a "shantytown" community where the Jan 12 earthquake hit. A year ago, her family could not afford to send her to school, but thanks to the scholarship we provided, she is in kindergarten at Mary Kesler, which is a school located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti - and was most likely badly damaged. She has been described as the smartest student in her class. And she is very social and loves to sing.

Check out the photos here, they were sent to us before the earthquake. So, everyone, for my birthday - if you are so inclined, would you consider making a donation to go to Joaina's education? We're not sure yet if her family survived, but she did - and it's going to be a long road back for her.

From Jan-March this year, 100% of the donations will go to Joaina and her family to help them through this time and to help with her future education.
You can donate tax free to my 501c3 at this link. http://www.lajollafoundation.org/project-einstein.php
On my Birthday, I'm reaching out to you, to help me help Joaina.
