Jackie Warner & Reality Friends Celebrity Mixer

Yesterday, I caught up with Jackie Warner at Sunstyle for an event hosted by Reality Friends. It was a Celebrity Mixer & Charity event for Stoked Mentoring (more on this below). Jackie is on Bravo's successful series, "Work Out," which follows her professional and personal life as elite trainer and owner of Sky Sport & Spa in Beverly Hills, CA. "Everything inside of her leading penthouse fitness facility is visually impressive, including the state-of-the-art equipment and the most attractive staff of trainers in the city. "Work Out" examines how these people work and play together, inside and outside the gym." I asked Jackie when she was going to do an Ironman. She said, "I'll get right on that."

Pictured here: Twin Triathletes from Los Angeles, Suzanne and Nicole DeFosset, who organized and promoted this event. They are getting ready for their first triathlon of the season, the King's Trail Triathlon in Maui on Sunday, June 8th with Team In Training. Stay tuned for more on their first race!

Thanks to the efforts of Duet PR, reality TV celebs were out in force at this event supporting Stoked Mentoring, a unique non-profit organization that develops innovative mentoring programs exposing “at risk” youths and their mentors to action sports as a means to develop and foster resiliency, determination and success. It's an organization worth a click.

I'm sure that in the near future there will be someone who comes up with a way to swim, bike and run around every continent on the planet. It may not be an Ironman (but I wouldn't be surprised!) In the mean time, the world is watching "The Amazing Race, a reality television game show in which teams race around the world in competition with other teams. Contestants strive to arrive first at the end of each leg of the race to avoid the possibility of elimination. Teams are progressively eliminated until three teams are left; at that point, the team which arrives first in the final leg is awarded a large cash grand prize. Created by Elise Doganieri and Bertram van Munster, the original series has aired in the United States since 2001 and has earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards, including all five "Outstanding Reality-Competition Program" awards that have been given. The show has branched out to include a number of international versions following a similar format.
Contestants travel to and within multiple countries in a variety of transportation modes, including
planes, taxis, rental cars, trains and boats." - Wikipedia
